The City of Banning is accepting applications to fill five (5) positions on the City of Banning Historic Preservation Commission. Two of the terms will run from appointment to January 2027, or two years. The other three terms will run from appointment to January 2029, or four years.
These are volunteer positions on a Commission. You must be a registered voter in the City of Banning to qualify. All applicants must successfully complete a background investigation with fingerprinting before appointment. Per City Code, members of the Commission should have a "demonstrated interest, competence, or knowledge in historic preservation and the local history, and pre-history, of the City of Banning. Members who meet the Secretary of Interior's Historic Preservation Professional Qualifications Standards are preferred." Members also cannot be on any other City board or commission.
