Per 2022 California Green Building Code all residential, commercial and industrial building permits/projects require a minimum of 65% construction waste project diversion. To satisfy this requirement, applicates are required to submit a Construction and Demolition Waste Diversion reporting form along with verifiable supporting documentation upon project completion, prior to final approval.
Applicants are required to use the City’s exclusive franchise hauler, Waste Management, unless third-party, self-haul is approved by the City. For more details on Waste Management’s DART reporting program established specifically for diverting and reporting construction and demolition waste.
