The mission of the Human Resources Department is to add value to the organization through Human Resource practices that increase intellectual capital and make employees more competitive and committed to achieving organizational objectives.

This is accomplished through assistance to management in the effective administration of personnel policies and practices and through building solid partnerships with other departments, public agencies and employee organizations.


The Human Resources Department is comprised of 4 divisions offering a variety of services to the general public, city departments and city staff in order to promote the health, well being, safety, economic and career growth of its many talented and hard-working employees.
